As a fourth generation impressionist I have been painting and exhibiting my work for over thirty-five years. Capturing in vibrant colors and compositions scenes from New England, Tuscany, The Caribbean and Florida. I work in both large format oils and watercolors.
Many of my pieces created are sight specific commissions that bring together you or your interior designer's concepts for home or office.

"A Crow In Grandma's Kitchen" is a 12" x 9" perfect bound children's book I wrote and illustrated recently . The story takes us into a warm and cozy kitchen, where we enjoy a winter day with Abigail Nancy, Grandma and her silly crow.
The extraordinary friendship between a little girl and a wild bird is strengthened by the understanding that it must eventually be set free .
Available in April 2011 .
In September '08 I self published a hard bound book:
Feast or Famine –Growing up Bohemian In Provincetown conveys a daughters sadness as her mother slowly loses the ability to breathe and to remember, while the humorous short stories and illustrations of a loving and zany artist family are ever up-lifting. This book becomes a vehicle in which the entire family travels back in time to help their mother remember her bohemian past, and what makes this book so memorable, is that we are allowed to go there as well.
Over 120 sketches, paintings, illustrations, and photographs from John Whorf, Nancy Whorf and Julia Whorf Kelly lend visual reference to the dynamics of creativity found in this family.
The first edition is limited to 2000 copies ,and if you're interested please call or email for more information or purchase. Case bound and smythe sewn this book will be shrunk wrapped, and retail for $50 + shipping and / or FL sales tax if applicable.
NEW WORK !!! NEW WORK !!! NEW WORK !!!
With renewed inspiration, rich light and intimate visual stories, I painted the Amalfi Coast of Italy for the month of September 2011. These new watercolors, as well as large oils, will become available starting in November.
In June of 2010 I returned again to Pienza, Italy , where for the past seven years I've
been immersed in painting plein aire the romantic Tuscan landscape. I'm still madly in love ,
and this trip I worked in watercolors, small oils, sketching and photography transforming
some of them into large format
oils to be exhibited in the 2010-2011 season.
I've always had a passion for children's books, and in February 2005 Corky's
Humane Tale was published. It was a pleasure to create the oil illustrations
for this heart warming story involving The Humane Society of Martin County,
Florida.
In
the summer of 2006 one of my own stories, A Tree Fell In Paradise was
published through the Treasure Coast Hospices to help young and old alike with
the passing of loved ones.
From New England to Tuscany, The Caribbean and most recently Alaska and British Colombia or children's books to still lifes, my true passion for color is always a large part of my lifestyle. If you're interested in my work please visit:
